Our Major focus is the development or and planning for an alternate surfaced Airport Runway for both Cambridge Bay (Ikaluktutiak) and Kugluktuk. The KCC partnered with the Municipality of Cambridge Bay to organize and plan the annual corporate event, the Kitikmeot Trade Show, from 2023 and plan to continue the partnership indefinitely.

The KCC plans to develop a Five-Year Strategic Plan to guide the KCC towards our goals and objectives and to develop policies and update the by-laws. Do you have an interest in the KCC? Come by to the office based in Cambridge Bay, for a coffee or tea and maybe even become a member!

Testimonials

We’ve particularly appreciated their regular updates on small business support programs, early notice of notable visitors to our community, and the organization of key networking opportunities such as the Kitikmeot Trade Show. With the territory experiencing significant growth and activity now and into the future, the KCC will remain an essential ally for both established enterprises and emerging businesses in our region.

Aurora Energy Solutions

Being a member of the Kitikmeot Chamber of Commerce has provided us at Aurora Energy Solutions with a valuable support network of regional businesses, united in a collective voice. As we operate in the smallest and most isolated region of Nunavut, the KCC has played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of information—both into our membership and out to the broader Nunavut business community—while consistently advocating for our best interests.
